We offer all AEMED courses and work with a number of Lead Instructors and Authorised Training Providers to offer courses.
Our standard first aid, first aid at work, paediatric first aid, elder care first aid, outdoor recreation first aid and advanced first aid meet and in most cases exceed the curriculum set by both DOSH and NIOSH.
First Aid for Kids (8-12)
6 Hours, F2F.
This course introduces the concepts of first aid, the primary assessment and how to help someone who has become sick or injured.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of completion.
Essential Life Saving Skills
8 Hours, Classroom Based.
This course introduces the skills necessary to save the life of a patient in extremis.
Topics covered include patient assessment, life-threatening bleeding, cardiac arrest (CPR & AED), choking, anaphylaxis, asthma, heart attacks, seizure, and stroke.
Introduction to Paediatric First Aid
8 Hours, Classroom Based.
This course introduces a broad range of paediatric concerns including safely approaching emergency situations, patient assessment including vital signs, unresponsiveness, anaphylaxis, and other common medical and traumatic mechanisms of injury.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive a completion card.
First Aid (BOFA)
16 Hours, Classroom Based.
This course covers the required curriculum for basic occupational first aid in most jurisdictions.
This course is comprised of three main modules: 1) Essential Lifesaving Skills, 2) Major illness, and 3) Trauma & Injury,
Emergency First Aid at Work
24 Hours, Classroom based.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on oxygen administration, occupational health and safety, incident management, incident response planning and emergency evacuation.
Paediatric First Aid
24 Hours, Classroom Based.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on infant and child CPR, infant respiratory emergencies, objects in ear/eyes/nose/throat, dental trauma, poisoning and meningitis.
Elder Care First Aid
24 Hours, Classroom Based.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on senescence, cardiovascular problems, heat and cold-related illness, falls and mobility.
Outdoor Recreation First Aid
24 Hours, Clasroom Based.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on environmental medicine, snake bites, traumatic brain injury and spine injury.
Advanced First Aid
40 Hours, Classroom Based or Hybrid.
The definitive first aid course, this course expands on the traditional first aid scope, including modules on airway management, oxygen administration and motor vehicle accidents and expands further trauma management, brain injury, spine injury, incident command and triage. It is recommended participants complete SFA before attending this course. Participants receive certification, valid for two (2) years.
