Weather
In October, Lijiang experiences pleasant and relatively cool weather. Daytime temperatures average around 19°C (66°F), dropping to approximately 9°C (48°F) at night. The region typically sees around 117 mm of rainfall over about 12 days, so it’s advisable to bring a rain jacket. Despite the rain, there are usually many sunny days with about 195 hours of sunshine throughout the month.

Lijiang’s high elevation (2,400 meters or 7,900 feet) means that temperatures may feel warmer during the day but can get chilly in the evenings. It’s a good idea to dress in layers, including a warm jacket for cooler nights and rain gear for wetter days.
